This bell, cast in the workshops of the Palencia bell ringer Moisés Díez Santamaría, was installed together with a clock, in the main square of the disappeared O Donnell Military Hospital, being in charge of announcing any event to the hospital staff, the wounded, the sick and the Congregation of Sisters of Charity of the same. It has a diameter of 45 cm, a height of 51 cm and a weight of 54 kg, of the so-called bell bronze, made up of a mixture of 80% copper and 20% tin being tuned in La. The legends inscribed on this bell follow a characteristic pattern in the inscriptions of this workshop: after the name of the bell and the brand name MOISÉS DÍEZ- PALENCIA, the usual numerical code is expressed, which indicates the serial number of the bell (2975). Along with the epigraphs, it presents a curious decoration based on cords, borders with plant motifs and a bas-relief crucifix.
